Pérez is the founder of Radicaldoula.com, a blog focused on the intersection of birth activism and social justice from one radical doula’s perspective. The blog was founded in February 2007.

Pérez was an editor at Feministing.com for four years, the widely read and popular Feminist blog with over 500,000 unique visitors a month. At Feministing, she blogged about all sorts of feminism related topics, including reproductive rights, sexuality, Latinas, pop culture and current events. Pérez was also part of the editorial collective that keeps Feministing running, focusing primarily on the business aspects of the site. While she was an Editor, the site was awarded the 2011 Hillman Prize for Blog Journalism.
